Sam was the first portrait that I painted. It had been about a year since I painted anything and it was a rocky start. This photograph was taken at The Island School, a semester school located in Eleuthera, The Bahamas. I attended The Island School for one semester at the beginning of my Junior Year. The photograph was taken right before a morning swim that was required for every student every other day.
